Which course should I do?

Work out which training you should take to suit your job role.

Which role sounds most like yours?

First, make sure you understand what type of role you do within the catering business.

That's anyone who owns and manages a business where food is produced, cooked or prepared.

Anyone who's involved in the production, cooking or preparation (i.e. cooks, chefs and food processors).

That's anyone who works in a food business but doesn't touch the food directly, like a waiter or waitress.

Now, use the table below to work out which training courses you ought to do.

*Non-open food refers to food or drink which comes into the business individually packaged and is sold still in its original packaging. Open food refers to food or drink that's handled by the food handler in an unprotected or unpackaged state.
