Applications for the Northern heats of the 2024 British Street Food Awards are FINALLY open after dates at a “prestigious central Manchester location” were confirmed today.
The showcase for the best street food in the North will take place across the weekend of August 17-18, with an exciting panel of judges and Manchester’s Finest (the ultimate guide to the best of Manchester) on board as media partners.
The venue will be announced this week, but it promises to be a massive date for the diary, and will result in at least TWO winners from the heat going on to represent the North at the grand final of the British Street Food Awards in London on September 13-15.
With the Scottish Street Food Awards coming to the Edinburgh Food Festival on July 20-21 – the same weekend as the Icelandic Street Food Awards in Reykjavik – the race to find the best street food in Europe is well underway, culminating in the grand final of the European Street Food Awards in Saarbrucken in Germany on October 4-6.
